Wonder Paths Is Now Open For Registration
Wonder Paths is a small, part-time hybrid microschool for Kindergarten through 4th grade students who learn best by building, creating, reading, discussing, and exploring big ideas together.
Our mornings are active and engaging, but also steady and intentional. There’s time for hands-on projects, meaningful stories, thoughtful conversation, creative problem-solving, and yes — a little laughter along the way. We move with purpose, but we don’t rush. We give ideas time to grow.
It’s a place where children build and create, listen closely to stories, share their thoughts (sometimes very enthusiastically), ask big questions, try new approaches, and learn how to work through challenges with confidence. It’s a place where curiosity is welcomed, mistakes are part of learning, and effort matters.
At Wonder Paths, learning feels connected. A read-aloud might spark a project. A math concept might show up in a design challenge. A conversation might turn into writing. Skills aren’t practiced just to check a box — they’re used in real ways that make sense to kids.
We care about strong foundations. We care about curiosity. And we care about helping children feel capable, supported, and genuinely excited about learning.
Wonder Paths is designed for families who want a thoughtful, part-time learning environment that complements what they’re already doing at home. It’s a great fit for curious kids who enjoy asking questions, listening to stories, building skills, and working through ideas in a supportive small-group setting.
Wonder Paths meets two mornings per week from 9:00–12:00. Families may choose either Group A (Tuesday/Thursday) or Group B (Wednesday/Friday). Both groups follow the same curriculum and calendar — just a different schedule option to fit your family’s needs. Our year runs from mid-August through late May and follows the Bentonville School District calendar for days off, major holidays, and breaks.
Our mornings at Wonder Paths are calm, engaging, and full of purpose. Students arrive, get settled, and start with their “basket boosters”—simple, hands-on activities tailored to their individual learning goals to ease into the day. From there, we move into a mix of creative projects, meaningful skill-building, and hands-on learning across reading, writing, math, and more. We take a mid-morning snack break, then continue exploring, building, and connecting ideas before wrapping up together. It’s a thoughtful rhythm that gives kids time to create, think, and enjoy the learning process without feeling rushed.
Throughout the year, students will dive into meaningful themes that connect reading, writing, math, science, and social studies in natural and engaging ways. Topics include community and citizenship, maps and geography, animals and habitats, weather, inventors, simple machines, basic economics, and introductory government concepts. As we explore these big ideas, students steadily strengthen foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. Learning is connected, layered, and thoughtfully paced — building strong skills while keeping curiosity alive.
Growth is observed thoughtfully and intentionally. Rather than relying on frequent tests or grades, we look at how skills are developing over time — through discussion, written work, hands-on exploration, and daily participation. Each student will build a portfolio throughout the year that may include writing samples, math work, photos of projects, reflection pieces, and teacher observations. Portfolios give families a meaningful window into their child’s progress and celebrate how much they’ve grown. Families are responsible for any required end-of-year state assessments.
If Wonder Paths feels like it could be a good fit for your family, we’d love to learn more about you. Please complete the interest form below to begin the process for the 2026–2027 school year.
Because this is a hybrid program built on a strong partnership between home and school, the interest form helps ensure it’s a thoughtful fit for everyone involved. Space in each group is intentionally limited, so we encourage families to submit the form once they feel ready.
After reviewing submissions, we’ll reach out personally with next steps and our parent information packet that includes more details about tutiton, curriculumn, schedules, and lots more.
We can’t wait to connect with you. 💛
